The Windows Phone 8 platform may have only been out in just a relatively short time but the Windows Phone Store is close to becoming a “Ghost Town No More”, Microsoft has just revealed that over 75,000 apps have been certified for its latest mobile operating system and luckily, the online marketplace’s growth is still going strong.
According to an article posted by PC Mag, the Redmond-based software giant has already seen a 40 percent increase in month-over-month developer revenue in the 30 days since the current SDK release and the Windows Phone 8 has only been on the market for about seven weeks which is not only a good news for the company but to the app developers as well, the Windows Phone platform’s user base is continuously growing, not quite as fast as the Android platform but it’s growing slow and steady,“We anticipate that to grow with new hardware sales and as apps with new capabilities like in-app purchase begin to reach customers,” said Brix.
Most top-of-the-line Windows Phone 8 handsets feature the latest in smartphone tech like wireless charging based on the Qi standard, NFC or Near-Field Communications, LTE or Long-term Evolution support and fancy display terminologies like the Lumia 92o’s PureMotion HD+ display, the HTC 8X on the other hand boasts the Beats audio enhancement.
